Maybe it’s a double. He’s not the same—or the guy they’re passing off as Trump—is a different guy. Just sayin’. ;-)
I imagine him nowadays, in the morning, reading newspapers (headlines only, and his lips moving) with a sharpie, “correcting” everything that’s wrong with the front page. He winces whenever he sees the patriotic tourists of January 6th referred to as insurrectionists. Or as violent extremists.
Oh how the truth hurts, especially when you’ve been insulated from it your entire life.
Times are so desperate that he’s stopped telling some of his favorite lies. Why, his people won’t even acknowledge plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act. That’s something the MAGA crowd, heck even the pre-MAGA Republican Party tried to do dozens of times. They warned us it was communism.
Then people GOT healthcare and they liked it. The people hated the word communism, but they loved actual (relatively) affordable healthcare.
So that’s the plan now. Call the Democrats commies and identify Harris/Walz as the most extreme communists of all. Just don’t talk about their policies. That damn communist healthcare. Communist food for schoolchildren. Communist infrastructure.
They’ll use the word communism, but won’t get that specific. It’s scary to think about, but it may be that—if using tax dollars…
