A few days ago, I dumped Verizon Fios—which was NOT fast—and charged us $125/month. On the way out, they offered me a deal of $45/month requiring a 2 year contract.
Which only served to emphasize how they brazenly ripped me off for years. Of course, I knew that but the only other “choice” (sic) was Comcast.
So, I signed up for T-Mobile home internet. It isn’t that fast either, although it seems slightly peppier than Verizon. But it’s $50/month and there’s no rental charge for the router and no setup fee. Took me a couple of minutes to get it running.
That said, I’d dump T-Mobile and any other rapacious telecom in a minute for true local fiber.
