Those who claim to care for the unborn may not be representing their interests.
The so-called “pro-life” activists want to ensure that every zygote is brought to term, whatever the cost to the mother. They see themselves as representing the interests of unborn children.
But who says those children want to be born? I don’t recall asking to be born. Do you?
Furthermore, look at the world these zygotes, if they are unfortunate enough to be born, would be born into! What a horrible fate.
We live in a world struggling with a plague. With a devastated climate. With water shortages, food shortages, hunger and massive violence. With cruel governments often supported by cruel people. A world awash in guns and anger. With a small number of wealthy people dominating everyone else, buying politicians and enriching themselves while keeping everyone else struggling.
We live in a world of hypocrisy, with religious people spreading bigotry and hatred — all in the the name of an allegedly loving God.
What kind of demon would force a child into a world like this? Can you imagine a more cruel fate?
Since we cannot be kind to each other, since we cannot even preserve the habitability of our planet, since we reject the common humanity of all members of our species — why would we require the unborn to join us? Because misery loves company? Or perhaps because our cruelty knows no bounds?
Leave the poor unborn children alone. Those with loving parents are welcome. Nobody else needs to go through this hell.
