A very large majority of American men elected a known sex abuser as president. We have two sex abusers on the Supreme Court. We have more known sex abusers in high level positions than ever before—including now as Secretary of Defense.

Maybe men cannot prevent other men from committing rape…but when they elect them to high office, and when they continue to support rapists and sex abusers, it is simply common sense for women to be wary of and increasingly avoid men.

By the way, it’s irrelevant that many women voted for Trump. Many women also stay with abusive husbands. Sometimes women, too, have bad judgement. This doesn’t excuse men for their cruelty, abuse,and cluelessness.

Maybe you are a good guy. But how can she tell? In the current culture, does it make sense for her to take the risk?
