Actually, the choice our "leaders" (sic) have made it to continue burning fossil fuels WITHOUT transitioning to renewable energy. We get the worse of both. UNLESS we oust the failed leaders and put climate scientists in charge of a planet-wide emergency program to stabilize the climate. Even then, it will be very, very hard.
