Actually, we need to ensure that Harris wins, if only to crush the climate deniers and to ensure that the President won't order the shooting of nonviolent protesters.
But worldwide, there are no significant leaders dealing effectively with the climate crisis. Indeed, they clearly don't recognize that we are in a crisis.
They are, functionally, insane.
So, yes, we need to slash production by NOT PRODUCING ANYTHING UNNECESSARY, by producing only healthy food, medicine, shelter, etc. and by GIVING IT TO EVERY PERSON so that people can live their lives as complete human beings.
We don't need to be soldiers or wage slaves or any other kind of fools who serve an undeserving elite whether it's a communist party or a plutocracy.
We need sanity, and only the ordinary sane and caring people of Earth—people with NO formal authority, yet do all the significant work—can save us.
In other words, WE can and must save ourselves, save those we love, even save our foolish opponents, and save the species with whom we share this Earth.
We are The Saners. We say "enough is enough." We have learned from history, from successful movements of the distant and near past, how a relatively small band of people can change the world.
