Although other systems abuse working people, too, we are experiencing the form of abuse endemic to American capitalism. Every single thing is to maximize profits or, if it’s a corporation, stock price.

MBA programs teach how to use workers, how to try to persuade them that “we are a team,” while squeezing the maximum obedience and productivity at the lowest compensation.

Now, during the current “great resignation,” they’re being told to treat workers AS IF THEY GAVE A DAMN ABOUT THEM.

But for some reason, workers in the reality-based community aren’t buying those lies.

So, to review, it’s cheap hypocritical greedy and selfish behavior by our overlords that breeds disloyalty, justified cynicism, and as soon as it’s doable, mass resignations.

This isn’t new. This has been going on since the 1980s when the ruling class shredded the social contract.
