An Unnecessary Additional Reason Governments Must Be Defied to Save the Earth
Mike Johnson is an enthusiastic oil industry tool. He favors killing your children —along with his own 4 children— for profit and power.
It took awhile, but the GOP inevitably settled on the worst possible choice for Majority Leader. Their choice? Mike Johnson, who has many many flaws, and is also a leading proponent of ending life on Earth through climate abuse.
He’s from Louisiana and takes oil money and orders from the oil lobby. He’s an oil industry dream pick for the post. That said, I suspect he’s a true believer and would end life on Earth for free.
Our government is for sale cheap, and just $338,125 in bribes (um, I mean “donations”) during his Congressional career was more than enough for Johnson to cheerfully turn the planet into a dead ash-heap…if he wasn’t so inclined already. The Independent Petroleum Association of America praised the selection of Johnson, as did prominent climate denialist and lobbyist Steven J. Milloy.
In any case, the American government is systemically incapable of preserving the Earth’s habitability. Just like China, Russia, Europe, and pretty much everywhere else, authorities have been steadily leading our species towards extinction for decades.
