Anu, I think you are onto something here. We shouldn’t b putting pressure on young people to solve the world’s problems. They should have the OPTION and they should be FULLY SUPPORTED when they choose to do so.

This has become a big issue because for decades now, adult leaders worldwide have failed catastrophically to even make a credible effort to stabilize the climate and hand over a habitable Earth to the next generation. It looks like the young, and ONLY the young are trying.

We’ve all heard of Greta Thunberg and we see millions of young people on every continent focusing on fixing the planet. The adults are still largely making excuses or doing nothing at all or even making things worse.

Children have a rights to childhood. But those who are anxious about the future and active in important causes need to be taken seriously and helped in their efforts.
