As we can see from the comments by Jonathan and Robert, corporations and THOSE THAT GO ALONG WITH CORPORATE IDEOLOGY do not respect human beings. They think human beings deserve nothing…not even basic respect. Everything and everyone is merely a servant of corporate profits. This is a problem of capitalism, but it’s even bigger than that. In hierarchical management, the people in charge are always arrogant and ignorant. They believe that because they are on top, they earned and deserve their positions. They also believe that they are smarter than their employees.

This is as true under communism as it is under capitalism.

In fact, fate—often accidents of birth—are what put people on top of these systems. As for intelligence or ability, even managers who are very intelligent simply do not know what is truly going on because they don’t do the work. Any uneducated worker knows much more than management. And the worker won’t tell management anything because s/he knows that management won’t listen and will blame any and all problems on the worker.

The first step in fixing things is by making it clear to everyone the nature of hierarchical management. Instead of of repeated false platitudes (as commenters often do), we need to challenge them and expose them as false and damaging.

I do this every chance I get.
