I’m busy trying to save the planet and humanity from destruction. So, I don’t have much time for other projects. But there’s one other project that I can’t seem to ignore or forget.
And this other project may be useful or even necessary to save humanity from itself. I’m talking about an idea that I’ve been calling BeFriend.
This is a simple but powerful idea. The idea is to establish the humanity of every single person on Earth. EVERYONE. Yes, this includes people we don’t like. In fact, it especially includes people we don’t like!
Here’s the idea:
There is no such thing as “the other.” Humans, and indeed nearly every creature on Earth, shares a common interest. And all people are essentially the same, and their differences are interesting and entertaining — but not enough to make anyone “the other.” There is ONLY “we.”
To make this a reality, we need to reach out to our putative opponents. We need to say, “Hey, you are a person just like me. Let’s go to a cafe and get some coffee. I’m buying!” We need to invite “the other” to be our friend. And we need to show everyone else that, not only is this possible, but it’s also pleasant and fun!
