React to reality, not ideology or self-important fools. Oh, and react less. ACT more.
Don’t hand away your life to opportunistic noisemakers. Forget social media influencers, TV stars, and all the “look-at-me” politicians and billionaires. They aren’t the story; they are a distraction.
While you are looking at them, supporting them, thinking about them — well, that’s when your life is slipping away. It’s bad enough that you sell the best days and hours of your life to an employer, who purchases you for the lowest possible price. It’s bad enough that you spend your days in what’s labeled productive work…but it’s not productive of anything valuable or worthwhile, except to enrich a few unworthy souls. In return, you (maybe) have enough to live through another exhausting day, and get a day closer to death without having actually LIVED that day.
Something is wrong with this. And, yes, I understand that this is the way the world is. But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can start making it better — significantly better — today. Right now.
