women’s rights and the power of culture as a force
Do get all on fire and be as cross as you please. — Susan B. Anthony
The “me too” movement seemed to come from nowhere and brought down powerful sexual abusers and harassers throughout the country. This great force for justice came from ordinary people — people with no formal authority.
“Me too” is a moral force. And it is now part of our culture. But some sex abusers have escaped justice and have unleashed a Court ruling taking control of women’s bodies away from women and handing that control to a misogynist state.
A small group of perjurers and sex offenders wearing robes have committed this atrocity. This act was engineered by a rogue band of evil thugs who claim to be “our” government. But we the people have never consented to take away the most basic freedoms of more than half the population. Furthermore, we hold that control of our own bodies (whatever our gender) is an unalienable right, and that any government that infringes on that right is illegitimate. If this government believes it has our consent, millions of us wish to say: YOU ARE WRONG. If this government ever had our consent, we have withdrawn it now.
