We need to build a highly visible pro-Earth culture
Joe Manchin single-handedly killed any effort the United States government planned to enact to fight the climate crisis. Now, any American government is extremely unlikely to take meaningful action to reduce C02 emissions because our political system is awash in petro-corporate money. The very people who are destroying the planet are making policy.
Still, it’s somewhat astounding that Manchin can block even modest attempts at insufficient climate action that politicians could use for face saving. In other words, the U.S. government can spit in the faces of all of our children and our hopes and suffer no meaningful consequences.
We can’t seem to stop this at the ballot box. But we MUST stop it.
As those who have read A Climate Declaration know, I do not believe we can save the planet from climate collapse within the existing political and economic systems. All of them worldwide have failed consistently for decades. They don’t want to stop climate collapse. They and their systems are literally insane.
WE must stop them. ACD calls for the removal of all failed leaders worldwide and the immediate dismantling of any political/economic rules which hinder efforts to end climate abuse. We do not recognize the authority of ANYONE to damage…
