Our times call for courage, commitment and action.
People are confused and discouraged. All hell has broken loose in the United States, and seemingly nearly everywhere. But some are out protesting, sticking their necks out—valiantly making an effort.
We see this happening in Hungary, in Serbia and many other places including the United States. Oh, here in the United States all these protests are downplayed or even ignored by big money media. Those “news” organizations are profit-seeking cowards with no moral compass. They are afraid to catch the ire of the fascist regime in Washington, D.C.
The Full Measure of the Crisis
So, we have a full-blown totalitarian regime—capable of enormous brutality—consolidating power, a “unitary executive” which is the traditional American euphemism for dictator.
But this isn’t new. It’s just an escalation of an ongoing crisis that we have been ignoring—for many decades.
Another part of the crisis—one which millions of us recognize but somehow managed to put aside—is the climate destruction, the coming climate collapse which—if WE don’t stop it—is inevitable. And an unprecedented and irreversible catastrophe. This catastrophe will doom our children and end life as we know it—forever.
