Climate catastrophe is here although we all know that it can get much much worse if we continue on our current course.

Two comments:

1. Planting trees isn’t such an easy solution when a) it’s just an idea we show no signs of implementing and b) the climate damage we’ve already done is causing more and more massive fires destroying trees in huge numbers all the time.

2. Worrying about the consequences of eliminating oil use 100% is ridiculously premature especially since we have failed to reduce usage of oil at all and are burning it at the highest rate ever. It’s like telling a 500 pound man to not go on a diet because if his weight goes to zero, he’ll be dead. This is true but a truly misplaced concern.
