Climate scientists and engineers have a pretty good idea of what to do. The catastrophic failure is political and economic leadership—worldwide.
It's capitalism. It's communism. It's democracy. It's dictatorship. Under every system and leader, the people in power owe their power to oil. They will never give it up. They will never do what's absolutely necessary to stabilize the climate.
Whether it's Saudi Arabia, China, Russia, India, the United States—it's ultimately the same thing. Colossal failure.
WE must demand they declare a worldwide climate emergency and go to the mat putting climate scientists and engineers in charge of fixing it—or they must step down immediately.
I believe that only young climate activists have the moral standing and determination that's necessary to save the planet. After all, the Earth BELONGS to the young. It's being destroyed by greedy childish adults, many of whom are determined to destroy the Earth in their last decade of life.
They must be stopped. Our leaders will never do the right thing. WE MUST FORCE CHANGE.
