If you are a petro-billionaire, or a corporate oil CEO, or a politician who takes money from and does favors for multinational climate abusers, can you answer a question for me?
Do you love your children? Because, honestly, I’m finding it difficult to understand.
I know you are smart and — yeah, I understand you are ambitious. But I can’t for the life of me figure out why you trash the planet your children and grandchildren will be trying to live on.
Aren’t there other less destructive ways to accumulate wealth and power? Is it really worth it to earn the eternal enmity — and deserved hatred — of your own offspring? And perhaps everyone’s offspring?
Yes, some of you are downright stupid. Lauren Boebert and Mike Lindell come to mind, although there are many others.
Still, most of you are smart. The Koch brothers (okay, brother — one is dead and probably burning in hell right now) have degrees in engineering. Most billionaires and executives and politicians who are actively cooking the globe are fully aware of the consequences.
Why Not Stop?
You could choose to stop. You have plenty of wealth right now and it’s not going away. You won’t run out. You have time to reverse course and be a hero to your children. You could actively defend and protect them. Yeah, the planet killers will turn on you, but do you care about THEM or your own children? Or are you simply a coward, afraid of the other villains?
Last Chance
Here’s your chance — possibly your last chance to do the right thing. To be a good parent. To be a good human being.
The climate scientists have sent a message. It’s now last call for humanity. Time is about up.
What’s it gonna be? Your children are waiting for your answer.
