The way to cede everything to thugs — just use THEIR terminology. I won’t do it.
Dobbs, which I will henceforth refer to as “Dredd Scott II” has effectively ruled that women are not human beings. The forced birthers, who are analogous to the pro-slavery South of the 1860s, have (for now) won today’s Civil War.
But we must not be timid in facing this outrage.
Dredd Scott was the Supreme Court case that ruled that black people were property — period. Dobbs has ruled that women are incubators — period. A clump of cells inside their bodies has the full scope of human rights. They have none. Women have value only insofar as they perform their obligatory function of giving birth.
Yes, this Supreme Court — and supporters of that astoundingly backward and inhumane ruling — are that cruel.
As if to emphasize that cruelty and misogyny IS the purpose of the ruling, lawmakers are rushing to allow the destruction of embryos when used in IVF — that is, when they are frozen in labs and do not pose any danger to the health or lives of pregnant women.
No, the “unborn children” aren’t sacred. What’s sacred is cruelty to women.
Incidentally, neither Jesus nor the bible supports this cruel immoral position. The bible, in fact, has a story in which God Himself gives…
