Don't get too caught up in the blame game. What matters is that we stop the climate abuse and preserve the habitability of the planet.
We will NEVER do this by lowering out personal carbon footprints. Emphasis on the personal provides diversion and protection from the ONLY credible solution—ending fossil fuel production.
Our "demand" is not the problem. It has NEVER been the problem. WE never gave a damn about the source of energy. WE never demanded fossil fuels. We wouldn't even know if our electricity came from windmills or oil
No, the problem is that we allow a small number of fossil fuel profiteers to manipulate us, to help them destroy our children's Earth. Some of us work in refineries and mines and other fossil fuel extraction and processing jobs.
WE should protect those people, provide for them so they can quit—en masse—and end fossil fuels so our children can live
Non-cooperation is OUR responsibility and the only way that will work. Leaders in business and politics everywhere have failed catastrophically for decades. They will NEVER save us.
But WE CAN.
Some of us has begun joining together, rising above petty arguments, and working in the spirit of Gandhi and King with peaceful yet assertive solidarity and non-cooperation.
