Emma, just know this: you are sane and most of what you see and hear from businesses and government and think tanks and media is nonsense—they are literally insane. They are so out of touch with reality that even though they know climate catastrophe is real and here, they continue to rationalize doing nothing.

Also know that there are literally billions of people worldwide who are clearly, who are sane, but are in no position to make the needed changes.

Neither I nor anyone knows exactly how this will turn out, but physics and chemistry will continue to operate and Nature will become crueler.

This will make billions restless. The elite will inevitably lose control—they can’t control storms or heatwaves or wildfires or the much deadlier disasters to come.

Their impotence will become glaringly obvious.

After that? Who knows?
