Every action that affected voting was a factor. That includes the incident you focus on. And the botched design of the butterfly ballot. And a half dozen other factors.

But the decisive factor wasn’t the voters. It was the partisan Supreme Court. THEY decided the election 5-4 along party lines. We can now look back and see that, not only was that an act of sabotage against the majority of American voters who cast their ballots—the majority picked Gore.

It’s much worse than even that.

Nearly a quarter century ago, the Court blocked a passionate climate activist from the presidency and installed a Texas oil man. This singular case may have sealed the fate of humanity.

It’s our job, at this late date, to undo the damage. It’s insane to allow anyone to destroy the habitability if the planet we all live on.
