For markets, the climate is an externality. It will play no role in saving the Earth. But it’s playing a central role in destroying it.

All markets are rigged by the rule makers—the wealthy few who control politicians through bribes. (We call them donations and pretend this isn’t disgusting.)

There is no free market and there won’t be. There are just plutocrats and their hired cronies.

Yet what you say is largely true—our scientists and engineers are brilliant and, given our full support, could probably bring much of the climate disaster under control.

But the plutocrats and their phony markets are doing everything they can to prevent that from happening.
