GOP Attempts, Fails To Block FEMA Disaster Relief. Tells Georgians and N. Carolinians to Eff Themselves.
Congress provides — or in this and most cases, the GOP Congress REFUSES, to provide funding for suffering Americans. They failed to block funding this time but are lying their asses off about it.
Hurricane victims are getting quick payments of $750 as fast initial relief from FEMA. This is not all they are getting, but IF their relief is subpar, blame the people who hold the purse strings: the GOP Congress.
The GOP is lying saying that victims are getting ONLY $750. Under Trump, the same payment was only $500. They will never tell you that, nor will they remind you of their disaster relief failure in Puerto Rico. They are counting on us to forget everything (especially January 6, 2021) and believe all of their lies.
Just before this most recent hurricane hit, the Republicans voted to withhold funding from FEMA.

They knew exactly what they were doing. They chose to let people suffer believing voters would blame Democrats for the intentional GOP failure.
