GOP in Tennessee Shields Gun Manufacturers as Innocent Children and Teachers Die in a Hail of Bullets

After the Tennessee House ejected two Democrats for protesting to protect children, not guns, the Senate follows up with their own reprehensible behavior.

I gotta say, guns are not my “beat.” I focus on the climate, because that’s the BIG ONE that will get us all. But, really, protecting innocent people from being shot instead of protecting gun manufacturers should be low hanging fruit in any civilized country.

But we are not governed by civilized people. We are governed by selfish, heartless and amoral assholes. We are not a civilized country and won’t be until we get rid of those fools and find some responsible adults to hold office.

So, in response to the massacre of children and teachers in Nashville, the Republican majority in the State Senate rushed to protect the gun manufacturers. Yeah, you read that right.

I call it criminally insane. Yes, I know it’s about greed and power for those politicians, but even with that rationale, this move is way beyond the pale.

So, I’d love to share the names of the 19 POS that voted to protect the ability of any gun owner to murder anyone at any time as easily as possible. But none of the news organizations decided to publish either…
