When actors, writers and other entertainment professionals took control.
The studio bosses and their shareholders wanted us to work for nothing. The economics, they said, just didn’t work out for them if we made livable salaries.
They had the capital. They had the distribution. They had US.
So, we left and all they had was capital and distribution and the stuff that WE had created. But we were done creating for them and now they only have AI to create. AI sucks.
Guess what? People prefer actual human stories, created and performed by actual human beings. The studios will need to find some robots to buy their crap. Nobody who actually breathes is really interested in it.
Yeah, we did it. After they broke the unions, we formed Guerilla Studios. We were and are the real talent. The studio bosses are ignorant bean counters. That’s becoming more apparent by the day.
We don’t have much, but that’s okay because we don’t need much — just our talent. The software to produce and edit shows and cartoons are open source. They’re as good as anything Hollywood has. And, anyway, the important part is the stories and the performances. That’s all US and can’t be duplicated by bean counters.
