I would say that picking His words to push one’s own agenda is foolish. A mistake.

I would say to ask oneself if that’s coming from love, or a desire to enforce one’s will and “win” submission from another person.

I don’t want to talk down to you. I feel certain you know right from wrong. The people who cannot tell the difference—psychopaths—are exceedingly rare.
