Fiction. A digital startup disrupts the market by establishing the 20 hour work week.

It’s just another middle man business. Like Uber. Or Air B&B. Only it’s not really like either of those.

The app helps halftime workers find work. It’s like job sharing with a built in union. We fought for the 20 hour work week. And we won. Oh, yeah. Full time income with half time work. What can I say? We’re disrupters.

You know, we’re very capitalist. The demand must meet the supply. And we are tough negotiators. Employers are very careful with the dollar — especially the big ones. Still, with the ban on immigration and the crackdown on illegals under DeSantis, we saw an opportunity.

The VC were reluctant to fund us, but fortunately this wasn’t our first rodeo. Bruce and I had money from our previous enterprise and he was out of prison and restless.

And so there’s Half Time. Pairs of workers, who each work 20 hours a week, apply through us for one full time job. We take a cut. These are good workers who value their time. They won’t sell their time cheap and they keep half for themselves. We’ve got a lot of them working through us. A whole lot.

We’ve got enough workers to skew the labor market — which was already tight. It’s almost a monopoly but we don’t say that part out loud. ;-)
