Why what’s coming next will end a lot of what we have…but could be (on balance) better than today. IF we play our cards right.
We will need to end production and use of fossil fuels. Soon.
We DO have alternate energy — which we aren’t using (yet) to replace fossil fuel. Our use of fossil fuels is still INCREASING.
We’ve got work to do. Urgent work.
Loss
We must assert ourselves and end fossil fuels over the objections of authorities. As described in WeAreSaners.org:
We demand an immediate worldwide emergency program, led by climate scientists, to end fossil fuels, end climate abuse and repair the planet.
Once we do this, we will have no fossil fuel energy and much less energy overall. Which means we can’t waste it on the tons and tons of useless crap we produce now that serve no critical function.
We need to produce food, housing and medicine. And not much else.
We will lose a lot, and that scares people. But we GET a lot, too. And few recognize what we have to gain. At least not yet.
