Hello. I think you are doing a good job. People are complex and all of us have good qualities and times when…we are less good.

I, too, have a very negative opinion of Trump, primarily because he’s a consistently cruel and selfish and childish person. Yes, it’s disappointing that your NC friends admire him.

But it’s also true that they seem to exhibit genuine kindness. Dare I say it? Hate the sin but love the sinner.
