Here in America, the political system is awash in money from the wealthy. That’s why Senator Manchin, a wealthy fossil fuel profiteer who is also a Senator, can block any effort to stabilize and repair the climate.

He and his ilk are very stupid and hold the power to destroy the planet their grandchildren will inherit. They are destroying our climate right now—as you know from the temperatures in a Portugal.

Ordinary people—people like us; people like those who forced the leader of Sri Lanka to flee—must force a change, oust the foolish cold-hearted profiteers and protect our children and our planet.
