Here's another question: how will the economy do with ever more extreme droughts, floods, killer storms, heatwaves, shortages and more? How will the economy do when the planet is so hostile to humans, that merely staying alive is a struggle?

Because the implication—that we can either switch to renewables or keep going as we are going — is false. And we CAN’T keep going as we are going. The question itself is based on a lie.
