I don’t know what is going on here at Medium. But I appreciate the quick and direct response of the CEO.

It seems to me that, yes, the new CEO was fully briefed but is still newish here. Anyway, I give people benefit of the doubt. Im pretty sure he wants Medium to continue and to flourish and IF it goes boom, it’ll be because what he tries to make the company stronger didn’t work. But it’s just as likely to be fine as to be in trouble—from what WE know.

My personal position is I’m staying here as a writer but, as a precaution, I’m gonna be prepared to move elsewhere.
