We didn’t see our kids murdered in Vietnam. We aren’t allowed to see our kids being murdered with AR-15s. It’s not because of concern for taste. It’s protection for murderers.
I looked up on a search engine, trying to find out about the people murdered in the most recent Texas mall shooting. I found a picture.
It’s not a picture of people running. Or of a pile of flowers at the site. It’s not a picture of school photos of dead children before they were killed. It’s not even pictures of Texas politicians protecting guns and deflecting responsibility for gun proliferation and the mass murder they actively promote.
Yes. Politicians who champion guns actively promote mass murder. We know this because only America hands out guns like take out menus, and only America has more mass murder every month than days in the month. But politicians and other ideologues — mostly cowards who carry guns to Walmart because they are effing cowards — make excuses. And, to our shame, we actually listen to them.
But I’m looking at a picture of the freshly killed shoppers. There’s five of them in the photo. In the foreground is a child on his or her back, on the pavement.
