Historically, when people use nonviolent noncooperation, they are able to do great things on a big scale. Bitcoin is simply another financial scheme and our problems are, in large part, caused by putting finance first.
I know that many people believe in Bitcoin because they think it can change the status quo, but I think it's a formula for "meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
And anyway, it won't reduce CO2 emissions or lessen anyone's workload.
I appreciate your sincere and thoughtful intent. But I respectfully disagree. And, yes, it's possible I may be wrong and you may be right. I don't know.
But I've drawn certain conclusions through my own thinking just as you have done with yours.
The Saners have some followers and fans with financial theories of various kinds. Some of them are quite sophisticated and many are thoughtful. We don't oppose changes to the financial system. But we believe that economics isn't the key to solving our problems.
