Hmmm. We are destroying the climate with fossil fuels. Climate scientists warned us to NOT do that decades ago. Our leaders—EVERYWHERE—continued to INCREASE fossil fuel use.
Industry and governments caused this climate crisis—not climate scientists. They identified it and gave advice on how to stop it.
The article says that people shouldn't depend on the leaders and businessmen and systems that failed for decades. That nation-states can't solve global problems. That climate scientists have the knowledge and ability to lead action against climate abuse. That politicians and businessmen have no ability and NO INTEREST in preventing the ongoing and increasing disasters we are now seeing everywhere.
It says that continuing down the path we are on is LITERALLY INSANE.
It says we need a coordinate effort by experts to fix the problem. If you want to call that world government, that's fine. When a gigantic fire is burning my house, I want professional firefighters.
Not a bunch of fools fighting over the cinders.
