Honestly, although I'm not religious, I find that what Jesus reportedly said is often compelling—and in direct contradiction with the positions of the so-called Christian right.

I mean:

love thy neighbor?

love your enemies?

turn the other cheek?

Awesome stuff, but the loudest so-called Christians reject those ideas.
