Honestly, I will continue to vote for candidate not-Trump every time, but the parade has moved on. Electoral politics won’t make a difference now. Maybe the last time it could have made a difference was in 2000, when the people chose a passionate climate protector as president, and the voters were overruled 5-4 by the Supreme Court.

How did we continue to treat the SCOTUS as if it was honorable after that? And how do we treat any government awash in oily dollars as if it had any legitimacy while they act as agents for wealthy fools who are literally destroying the habitability of the planet?

We don’t need a political strategy. We need a Arab Spring strategy. We need a tear down the Berlin Wall and make despots run for their lives strategy. Hell, even a Lysistra strategy—denying men sex since they are too f*cking lame to protect the most basic rights of women.

You want to organize politically and win this in a cruel unresponsive plutocracy that we allow to pretend it’s representative government?

Maybe you’d have a chance if you started 50 years ago and worked really hard at it.

We can still fix this up, but we need to take the gloves off and stop playing games. I’m thinking our last best chance to get this done is Summer of 2022—when the country and the world is literally on fire and the utter failure of leaders everywhere is clear to anyone smarter than a tree stump.
