How about we let climate scientists and engineers work out what energy sources to use and how much of each? That is, listen to the scientists?

Michael Schelenberger is not a scientist. He's an ex-PR flack motivated ideology. And the assertion here that there's a scientific consensus that wind and solar can't do the job is nonsense. There is no such consensus. As for David MacKay, he's been dead for years and has nothing to say about the current capabilities of wind and solar.

I have no opinion about nuclear—I say let's listen to the scientists. But not cherry picked non-scientists or dead scientists who are outliers in their views.

Let's declare a worldwide climate emergency, put these climate scientists and engineers in charge, and see what THEY come up with.
