For them, the climate crisis is not an emergency. That’s why they insist on doing nothing.

What constitutes an emergency?

If there has ever been an emergency, it’s the impending climate collapse, triggered by recalcitrant world leaders committed to fossil fuels and to their own personal wealth and power.

They don’t give a damn about anything else. We know this because they have taken NO emergency measures.

In what they consider to be an emergency, they take action — quickly and decisively. Here’s some examples.

Wall Street Loses Money

In 2008 and continuing into 2009, the authorities had a real emergency. The most devastating tragedy was taking place: Wall Street was losing money.

But it was worse than that.

Wall Street was falling apart completely. Lehman Brothers had gone bankrupt. And the other financial giants were teetering.

In fact, the entire system of financial greed looked to be disintegrating.

Most political “leaders” (sic) in the United States had taken money from those Wall Street giants (and other giant corporations). That’s how you get into office in America.
