I agree with the idea of consuming less but I’m certain it won’t do anything to slow climate catastrophe.

This approach would have some number of individuals bailing a sinking boat while a handful of others (fossil fuel billionaires) continue widening the hole. The latter is the bigger problem and dealing directly and firmly with THAT is the key to fixing the problem.
