I am personally close to fearless. However, I’m very protective of members and supporters of this movement.

Yes, I see no reason to believe that universal principles behind nonviolent noncooperation could have crippled and ultimately toppled Hitler and Mussolini.

It’s not the level of brutality that matters. It’s a matter of disempowering such autocrats by weakening and demolishing their pillars of support.

I wouldn’t say I’m optimistic…or pessimistic. I’m not one to predict the future. That said, I am certain that a skillfully run movement can achieve the objectives that The Saners are aiming for.

How skillful we will be, and the unknown factors of luck, circumstance and random variation may work for us or against us.

Morally, I feel obligated to try and try my best whatever the odds of success.

One of the greatest, and perhaps the greatest factors that make Mussolini and Hitler and Trump possible is the illusion, intentionally crafted, that they are capable and powerful. When, in fact, they are foolish insecure men of modest ability—and very vulnerable.
