I believe that Graeber underestimated the scope of bullshit jobs in the same way that climate scientists are discovering the human ecocide is worse than they thought.

I believe that most work is simply for "the economy" and is the engine behind producing endless mountains of wasteful and often dangerous crap—lots of commodified plastic crap.

Graeber has critics because he rips away the lies that protect the deadly status quo. The world has lost him, but his ideas live on.
