I can’t reduce human life down to financial value. Certainly, a human life is worth more than productivity. Otherwise, old retired people, children and incapacitated people would be worthless.
I think the issue is how to make a better world for everyone. It’s a hard problem. Capitalism—even the flawed real world version of it—had merit, but now it’s a dangerous system that inherently promotes climate destruction.
I’m sure you mean well and I respect you and I may be wrong and you may be right.
But our political system is awash in money and we have all kinds of entities like the Federalist Society and the Heritage Foundation designed to push the interests of the wealthy.
I really hope I’m wrong but the situation appears dire.
I’m old and don’t care what happens to me. But young people deserve a decent habitable planet. I’m afraid they won’t get one.
