I don't believe we have either democracy or capitalism. We all know that the political system is awash in the money of billionaires and corporations. We know about K Street. Our "democracy" has already thwarted the will of American voters twice in the last 25 years—seating George W. Bush and Donald Trump in the White House. Both were rejected by voters.

Yes, maybe they were "elected" according to the rules, but obviously the rules are not designed to honor the voters. So much for democracy. We know that the government represents the people who grease their palms and pay for their campaigns.

As for capitalism, there is no free market. There is a giant Wall Street thumb tilting the system so severely that less than 1% of the people control more wealth than the bottom 50%. And you know who works harder? The bottom 50%. The 1% produce exactly nothing—they're swindlers; they take from what others produce.

So, I'm afraid your view is a pleasant fantasy. But in the reality based community, we see what's really important—and that's trying to save the climate of the Earth for our children. Because scientists—people who actually KNOW THINGS—have warned us we are on the verge of climate collapse.

And this is thanks to—you guessed it—the myopic greed of the plutocrats and the government officials who lick their sweaty asses.

We the people have work to do, if we want to save our children. I'm ready to act. You?
