I don't blame the Democratic party. But I certainly have very low expectations for them. For whatever reason, neither party has done a damn thing in 40 years to slash C02 emissions—something they were warned about by scientists. Instead, C02 emissions increased and are at higher levels. This means our children will live in a post-apocalyptic hell.

Democrats did agree to confirm Clarence Thomas after credible accusations of sexual harassment were made. Of course, the woman was dismissed and the man was believed.

When this happened again, and a rapist was confirmed to the Supreme Court, I frankly think the Democrats were too damn civil about it.

As a party, it's clear to me that, although they are less evil than the GOP, they take money from plutocrats and will be happy to kill all of our children and destroy the Earth just so they keep getting donations from oil barons or whoever is paying them.

Ultimately, while they lack the disgusting blood lust of the GOP, they are pretty much "pragmatists" which is a nice way of saying "lacking any sort of moral compass whatsoever."

I feel that, like the people of the Soviet Union, we should mass in the streets and demand the whole government step down. Since the climate is an existential crisis, and we are nearing climate collapse, we should put young climate activists in charge, and let them oversee a program developed by climate scientists.

These young people have a clear vision, they are in touch with reality, they are mature, they are responsible and they CARE—all qualities that the adult "leaders" for the last 40 years completely lack.

Also, all the adults will be dead by the time consequences of their historical failures are fully realized. That's why the young must take control NOW—we don't have the luxury of waiting for this Congress, or the President or—God help us—the incredibly clueless and cruel Court—to suddenly wake up and do the right things.

They never will.
