I don’t care about nuclear power one way or another. It may or may not be a part of the solution.

This shouldn’t be our decision, nor should it be made by businessmen or politicians.

We must have climate scientists, assisted by young climate activists, leading a planet wide emergency climate protection and recovery program. Whatever they decide goes. Because the scientists have the knowledge and the young climate activists have the standing—their generation will inherit this grievously damaged Earth.

Sadly, the nuclear industry has a long and consistent record of lying every time there’s a nuclear disaster which makes it hard to judge their proposals and, understandably, makes anyone familiar with that dishonest behavior understandably skeptical.

Certainly, I frequently hear nuclear proponents state discredited critiques of various clean energy options as if those are facts.

I think we need an honest evaluation of all options. For that, we must let actual climate scientists (assisted perhaps by engineers) decide.

For decades, industry experts and politicians have been marching our species into the Sixth Extinction. They can have no role in future decision making if we expect our children to have any chance of living full lives.
