I Don’t Do Facebook or X

For the same reason that I don’t attend Klan meetings.

I quit most social media years ago. I had been an early adapter of Twitter at the suggestion of a friend. At that time, it was an oddity, not a cesspool. And I had also joined Facebook and reconnected with old friends on that platform.

But they were both flawed from the start, trojan horses promising free gifts but then, without warning, unleashing a flood of hatred and violence.

I left before they became the monstrosities they are today, largely because they wasted so much of my time on trivial conversations and arguments. I wanted to take back control of my time and my life.

Leaving them improved the quality of my life. Significantly. Immediately. I’ve never looked back.

We Know What These Platforms Do and What They Are For

It’s now clear that these platforms are tools of power hungry and greedy fools named Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. They are oblivious or even hostile towards the well-being of human beings. They believe the world revolves around them.

Leave those platforms. The value they offer is illusory and the pain and death and suffering they promote is REAL. Our planet is in danger because leaders everywhere are clueless. They profit from violence…
