I don't hate her, but I fiercely oppose the ideas she promoted. They were heartless, foolish, and deadly. They continue to exert a terrible influence to this day.
We need to focus on promoting good ideas, and displacing evil ones like Objectivism. And we shouldn't get too caught up in personalities—most people have good and bad qualities. We must strongly oppose and block the influence of evil ideas. In Rand's case, her most prominent ideas were evil. But she had some ability—she wrote two one-thousand page novels in her second language.
Not the most well-drawn characters and the ideas promoted were abysmal. But still, kind of an accomplishment. She was probably capable of making meaningful contributions to the world had she not been so captivated by her worst instincts.
