I don’t know how others use the term degrowth and our group, The Saners, doesn’t use that term at all. However, we believe that nearly all production beyond necessities like health food, medicine, shelter and the like should be stopped immediately. This overproduction is a waste of life and produces the vast volume of CO2 which is destroying the biosphere which keeps us alive.

We think it’s insane to knowingly destroy the planet we all live on.

We believe that human life is enhanced by wasting less of it producing crap to benefit elites—whether those elites are plutocrats, dictators or the Chinese Communist Party or whoever—and by quickly and sharply slashing CO2 emissions.
